For those who like decentralization, there is another thing built on top of Ethereum: https://status.im/
I don't know how it works, it doesn't seem available yet, but it is still interesting to see how it will go on.
@Bloggerschmidt Nice to read you had a good first impression of this app. Please let me know when you will do a review of the app, as I imagine you have a blog, so I can see how viable Ethereum is.
@KillianKemps I'm working on something related to #Ethereum but it's still a green prototype. You're right it makes total sense to bring those discussions here. Even if only for ethical consistency. Mind you, I should probably start an Ethereum or altcoin-oriented instance for cryptobugs 😀
@vruz Oh interesting. Let me know when you do something. I personally don't master everything about Ethereum, but I follow everything which is related to decentralization and distributed because there are a lot of opportunities.
@KillianKemps Currently working on a new OpenGL-based UI thing written in Go. I don't like the massive bloat of web development, so I'm exploring a different direction. An unweb of sorts.
@KillianKemps And just like you (and I assume most people on Mastodon, and OStatus more generally) I like decentralised things, ideally distributed things.
@KillianKemps As android user I was able to subscribe me as alpha tester. So I could install it via Google Play Store. First impression: Well written; smooth app. Thanks for sharing. Exiting stuff will come with #Ethereum and #Blockchain
