J'essaye de voir si du monde pourrait être intéressé par un projet encore embryonnaire.

Pas encore trop d'idée sur la forme que ça pourrait prendre (éditer un site web d'information ? une newsletter ?) mais le but serait de sensibiliser et informer les gens sur l'impact du numérique dans la société : les effets sociaux, écologiques, économiques, politiques, etc.

Une réussite du projet serait que ces sujets soient un jour abordés lors du journal télévisé du 20h.

Et profitez-en pour tester pour de vrai une récupération, pour vérifier qu'il y a bien quelque chose dans les sauvegardes.

Vous avez fait les sauvegardes de vos données quand pour la dernière fois ?

Les données numériques (photos, videos, musique, mails, documents administratifs,…) c'est précieux et une panne, une maladresse ou d'autres événements malheureux sont vite arrivés…

Si la réponse c'est plus d'une semaine, vite c'est le moment !

Et prévoyez 2 sauvegardes, si possible stockés physiquement en 2 endroits différents.

I think my Mastodon instance has some federation issues. I discovered I had replied to a toot, but on the other instance my toot doesn't display. :/

I restarted Mastodon on the instance hoping it will help. Otherwise, I don't know if I will need to reinstall all again.

Maybe that's why I had not much interactions these last days :D. (But people managed to follow my account so it's maybe partially working...)

Je vois qu'il y a une nouvelle vague d'arrivants sur Mastodon depuis Twitter.

C'est bien de passer sur une plateforme open source pour les réseaux sociaux, mais c'est bien aussi de ne pas passer son temps dessus.

Je refais un peu de pub pour l'extension pour navigateurs Qowala qui permet de voir le temps que l'on passe sur les réseaux sociaux :)

What is Autocrypt's reputation for encrypting emails?

If it really works, then I think it will allow massive adoption of PGP with emails.

(I discovered it with delta.chat which is a messenger using Autocrypt)

Do you know a good provider for an alternative to Google Drive/Google Docs?

Something like NextCloud + Collabora Office or NextCloud + OnlyOffice?

I would like a good quality of service and reliability for which I'm willing to pay.

However, the pricing should be accessible for personal usage.

Important note: I want to be able to share documents publicly and sometimes allow edition by non-subscribed users.

As decentralized, self-hosted services continued to spread within the FOSS community, it poses a major threat of information and history preservation. Once the owner of a self-hosted service ever became incapacitated or dead unexpectedly (bus factor = 1), the service may go offline permanently within 1 month (unlike centralized one, which may give you 5 years). If you are self-hosting data or services, you should make an admin succession plan. Shamir's Secret-Sharing Scheme is a good solution.
