@cquest Super ! Je ne connaissais pas ce service et ça fait plaisir de pouvoir utiliser un service Etalab avec de beaux partenaires comme l'IGN et OpenStreetMap et non un service tiers commercial.
J'utiliserais ça dorénavant 😀

@wonderfall@social.targaryen.house J'ai relu le site web et en fait ce que je comprend finalement c'est que Moby contient tous les éléments bas niveau du projet. Là un exemple sur LinuxKit : github.com/linuxkit/linuxkit/b
Donc ce n'est pas ce qu'on utilise habituellement.
Si on a une utilisation classique de Docker pour déployer, ça ne nous change rien, on utilise Docker.
Et Docker CE est bien open source. Voilà 😀

Ce qui est sûr c'est que Moby est open source. Mais pour Docker CE...

Ah, ça fait plaisir de mettre à jour Mastodon et de voir que le développement avance bien et augmente en qualité.

Mise à jour facile via Docker en quelques minutes tout était fonctionnel et on n'a quasiment pas senti de downtime.

J'en ai profité pour corriger la cron mastodon:daily. Maintenant je ne devrais plus voir de "baisse d'activité" des fils de toots 😀

I again got caught thinking there is less activity on Mastodon when instead it's the server which has issues fetching toots.

I don't understand. The mastodon:daily cron is running everyday, but it seems unsufficient :/

I did not tuning at all of the configuration. Maybe should I?

Started reading "Turn The Ship Around" and it looks like there is plenty of food for thoughts about and in the workplace.

If anyone has good (personal or not) examples of companies or job they had where freedom and empowerment were at the center, I'm all ears!

Another factor which I hadn't really thought about but which appears to be happening in some places just by reading some stuff...

When you have instances with large numbers of users this can go to the admin's head. They can start believing that they are some kind of celebrity and then abusing their power. There are obvious parallels to TV/movie stars, although I don't think it's as bad as that in the fediverse.

It's yet another reason why I think the small home server is the optimum fediverse model. Minimizing egocentrism and keeping it real is a worthwhile goal. I guess everyone is vulnerable to that if they become "the dear leader" of an instance.

I feel great. I was able to fork a project, do a little commit in the browser, open a PR on the upstream project to see my PR merged 3 minutes later and all that without leaving Github.

I really think that lowering barriers to contribute actually helps Open Source projects to get contributions. Thanks Github.
