@edasfr I tried Geary when I was using elementaryOS, but I found it quite buggy and some options were missing (I think it was the possibility not to display pictures in emails and disable tracking).
Evolution can be okay I think, I have never really tried it.
Maybe GNOME's new Mail app will be interesting. I like all the efforts they do to develop new apps, simple, but quite well integrated to the ecosystem.

I was just tooting about KDE Kube, but overall I still can use Thunderbird :D

Will we have replacement for Thunderbird? The KDE project is working on Kube, an email client.

I'm okay using Thunderbird, but there are sometimes bugs and I think nowadays we can have a better experience with better integrated services.

So, it is interesting to see if there will be new alternatives. (No, please, no Electron app)

There is a crowdfunding for a tablet running on SailfishOS, which looks very similar to the Jolla Tablet.

It would be interesting to have more information about who is behind the campaign.

Will it fail like the Jolla Tablet's previous crowdfunding campaign? Will it this time be a success?

@Ch_Antoine@framapiaf.org Merci d'avoir relevé la faute ! J'ai corrigé :)

I upgraded Mastodon to the latest 1.4.6 and again no issue!

I did the whole update in just 17 min, including a backup before (yes, I timed it)

Great work @gargron !

Interesting initiative.

@lattera I never tried a Purism laptop, but if you say they are not well built, it is a little bit disappointing.

I'm used to Thinkpads, and I like their build quality. I hope some Linux laptop vendor will approach this build quality one day.

Purism's laptops are getting more and more popular and that's good news!

They build laptops with Linux installed and privacy in mind.
They also designed a tablet pc "Transformer" with Linux.

A good initiative to support!

"America Is Now a ‘Second Tier’ Country" - Bloomberg

"The authors note that wealth is no guarantee to first-tier access. Even among nations with similar GDP, “countries achieve widely divergent levels of social progress.” It’s true a little bit of economic growth goes a long way toward improving lives, but those gains taper off at more mature stages of development."

@moritzheiber Thank you, I will maybe give gopass a try, I only knew the simple UNIX pass.
For Hashicorp's Vault, I think it is too big for me in order to use it for my personal projects, but I will keep it on a side for sure when I will feel the need.

@KillianKemps Try Hashicorp's Vault and gopass for a change .. I've found both of them to be a stunning match for storing secrets in diverse environments

It's good to store your app's secrets in an Ansible Vault to avoid Git to take it in clear.
It's less good when you forgot the Vault's password.
